Who we are
“StackCraft”, “we”, “us” refers to the practice operated by Chris Jack (legal name: Christopher Jack), Melbourne, Australia. The contact email is hello@stackcraft.com.au.
What we collect
If you fill out the contact form or email us, we receive the information you choose to send: your name, email address, optionally your company, and your project brief. That’s the deliberate part. The hosting and analytics layer also captures the standard technical signals every site receives: IP address, user agent, pages visited, referring URL.
What we don’t collect
We do not run advertising trackers, pixel-based remarketing, or third-party cross-site tracking. There are no “create an account” flows, no payment processing on this site, and no subscription mechanisms. If we ever add any of those, this policy will be updated before they go live.
How we use it
Information you send via the contact form is used to reply to your enquiry, scope a potential engagement, and — if we end up working together — administer that engagement. We don’t use it for marketing emails or share it with third parties for their own purposes. Hosting and analytics signals are used to keep the site working and understand which writing is read.
Where it lives
Form submissions and emails are stored in standard business tools (a hosted form service, an email inbox, and the project documents shared with the relevant client). Hosting is provided by a major cloud platform with industry-standard data protection. Backups are encrypted at rest.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t turn into engagements are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Engagement records are kept for as long as required by Australian tax and business law (typically seven years), and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to: see what we hold about you, correct anything that’s wrong, or delete the lot. Email hello@stackcraft.com.au and we’ll respond within five business days. The Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) apply to this practice.
Cookies
The site uses a single first-party cookie / local-storage entry to remember your light/dark theme preference. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above will change with it. The current version is always at stackcraft.com.au/privacy.
